Small workroom, serious craft
A small Ponsonby workroom with three tailors and more than forty years of combined experience. We take the same care with a pair of work trousers as we do with a wedding gown.

Good questions
Do I need an appointment?
Not for simple jobs like hems, zips and repairs — just drop in during opening hours. For suits, dresses and bridal we recommend booking a fitting so we can pin the garment on you.
How long do alterations take?
Most everyday alterations are ready within 5–7 working days. Bridal and formal wear usually needs two or three fittings over a few weeks. Rush service is available for many jobs — just ask.
Why are prices shown as “from”?
Every garment is different. Lining, fabric, beading and construction all change how much work is involved, so we confirm a firm quote once we've inspected the garment. We never start work until you've approved it.
What's the difference between an estimate and a quote?
An estimate is an indicative price before we've looked closely at the garment. A quote is the formal price we give you after the fitting or inspection — that's the price you approve.
What should I bring to a fitting?
The garment, plus the shoes and undergarments you'll wear with it. For hems, the shoe height makes all the difference.
How will I know when it's ready?
We'll email you as soon as your garment is ready for pickup, along with any balance owing.
